Police Car Directing Traffic

Information on this page pertains to organizations or individuals interested in hiring an extra-duty Franklin Police Officer to render police-related services, such as traffic control or security, at a private or semi-public venue.

  • A fee of $30/hour is due to the officer working the event at the conclusion of the shift, $40/hour for event supervisors (one supervisor per every four officers working is required).
  • Requests for events with less than 24-hours notice require an additional $5/hour per officer charge.
  • Separate from that, a check or money order made payable to Franklin Police Department, to total $5/hour per officer/supervisor must be tendered within five business days of the event. The check or money order may be dropped off in person at Police Headquarters or mailed to:

  • Click here to download the Extra Duty Police Services Contract. The completed contract should be emailed or faxed more than seven days from the event date to confirm officer availability. Send the completed contract to donna.thomas@franklintn.gov or (615) 591-5623.
