Table:  The table below displays a listing of current and recent formal procurement solicitations facilitated by the City of Franklin Purchasing Office.  By "formal" we mean solicitations for sealed bids and proposals.

Construction-related purchasing:  Most City purchasing that is related to construction is coordinated by the City of Franklin Engineering Department instead of the City of Franklin Purchasing Office.  Please browse to the Engineering Department’s web page, or the Engineering Department's "Bid/Notices/RFQ/RFP for City Construction Projects," or contact the Engineering Department at (615) 791-3218, for more information about construction-related purchasing.

Addenda:  All Purchasing Office procurement solicitations are subject to change at any time prior to the submittal deadline.  Changes to Purchasing Office procurement solicitations are typically issued in the form of addenda.  More than one addendum may be issued per solicitation.  The Purchasing Office normally posts addenda to procurement solicitations on the City of Franklin website (in the table below), and normally alerts those vendors who are known or thought to be interested in responding to the referenced solicitation.  However, the City assumes no responsibility for informing vendors of the issuance of addenda.  Rather, vendors who wish to compete for a particular procurement opportunity are exclusively responsible for determining whether any addenda have been issued for the corresponding solicitation.

Questions, requests for clarifications, and requests to revise the procurement solicitation:  To ask questions, to request clarifications about any aspect of a particular procurement solicitation, or to request revisions to a procurement solicitation prior to the deadline for optional submittal in writing of questions seeking to revise or clarify any aspect of that procurement solicitation, please contact:

Depending upon the inquiry, the City may request that the question, request for clarification, or request for revision be submitted in writing, whereupon the City may make all vendors known or thought to be interested in the solicitation aware of the inquiry and of the City’s response thereto.

Communication with City during procurement phase:  Any questions about either the content of or the process pertaining to a particular procurement solicitation should be addressed as described above. Until the procurement award has been made, vendors shall not communicate about either the content of or the process pertaining to that procurement solicitation with any official, employee or other representative of the City except through the City’s Purchasing Office. The City reserves the right to disqualify any vendor that initiates unauthorized communication with the City during the procurement phase.
