City of Franklin Seeks Individual for Franklin Municipal Planning Commission

The City of Franklin is seeking an individual to serve as a member of the Franklin Municipal Planning Commission (FMPC). The individual will serve an initial 5 year term and be willing to attend monthly meetings on the fourth Thursday of the month, and special meetings as needed.
The FMPC is responsible for the vision of Franklin through the City Master Plan and other studies, recommendations to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen related to Rezoning and Development Plans, approval of Site Plans and Plats, and working with staff and coordination with other committees. The FMPC consists of citizens, experts in the development field, architects and others interested in the future of Franklin.

If you are interested in serving, please submit a one-page letter of interest and qualifications to Vicki Parr at vicki.parr@franklintn.gov or mail to 109 Third Avenue South, Suite 103, Franklin, TN 37064. Candidates should have an interest in planning, relevant experience, and also reside within the city limits. The final date for submissions will be July 26, 2012. Members are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen.
