The Water Management Department provides water, wastewater, and reclaimed water services for its customers located primarily in the City of Franklin. There are seven divisions in the department funded through three separate funds. The divisions include Utility Administration, Utility Billing, Water Treatment, Water Distribution, Wastewater Treatment, Wastewater Collection, and Reclaimed Water Distribution. The Utility Administration and Utility Billing divisions provide support for the remaining service divisions and are funded through the water, wastewater and reclaimed water operating funds.

- Repair household leaks
- Use water-efficient products, services and practices
- Do not let the water run while shaving or brushing teeth
- Take shorter showers
- Scrape rather than rinse dishes
- Wash only full loads of laundry or dishes
- Sweep driveways and sidewalks rather than hosing off
- Wash car with water from a bucket, or consider commercial car washes that recycle water
- Avoid purchasing recreational water toys which require a constant stream of water.
