What does being a Live Green Partner mean to you? Why did you want to be a Live Green Partner?Recycling Tires

To help further extend our community involvement and hopefully be an example to others. We want to show that anyone – even the automotive industry – can make impact by going green.

What does your company do to be more sustainable?

We recycle Freon, Oil Filters, Oil, Antifreeze, Brake Rotors, Brake Fluid, Aluminum and Metals, Catalytic Converters, soda cans, plastic bottles, paper, tires. We have also installed censored toilets and sinks to conserve water usage.

What is your greatest “green” accomplishment?

Becoming a Green Partner with the City of Franklin has been a major accomplishment.

Have your green practices had any effect on your customers or clientele? Have they given you any type of reaction to being green?

Maybe not directly, but indirectly yes. We are creating less waste and recycling what we can. We’re conserving more energy, while letting our customers know that we are doing our part to help the environment.

Recycling Oil FiltersWhat is your advice to other companies who want to be more sustainable?

Just look around, there are tons of great opportunities. Once you begin a program it’s easy, and some of the programs we’re actually able to make money on!

What are your green initiatives or goals for the future?

We hope to continue to find safe ways to handle the materials we come in contact with and continue to find ways to limit our impact on the environment – ultimately limiting the amount we put in landfills.

Have your green practices saved your company or your customers money?

Yes, they have saved our company money, especially since some of what we measure includes creating less waste. Since our expenses have decreased, naturally we can pass some of those savings along to our customers in the form of sponsorships, coupons, and more community involvement.
