The Operations Division of the Franklin Fire Department provides fire protection, emergency medical services, hazardous materials response and mitigation, technical rescue operations, fire prevention, and community education. Operations personnel operate on a 24-hour on-duty 48-hour off-duty schedule. An Assistant Chief serves as shift commanders while Captains and Lieutenants at each station manage a crew consisting of engineers and firefighters.
