REVENUE MANAGEMENT

The Revenue staff of the Assistant City Recorder provides the billing and collection of taxes and utility service fees for the City of Franklin. This department has 13 full-time positions. Property tax billings for 2007 include approximately 26,000 parcels (real and personal), totaling $10.2 million. Business tax filings are made by roughly 4,000 businesses and 2,500 subcontractors totaling $4.5 million. Additional information is available here.

 

Water/Wastewater, Solid Waste, and Stormwater bills are issued monthly to about 21,000 households. In addition, coordination is made with the three other water districts in the City. This is required as those water districts bill city-provided utility services for about 4,500 customers.
