CITIZENS GOVERNMENT ACADEMY

The Citizens Government Academy (CGA) provides insight into local government. The CGA usually begins in the Fall and runs for eight (8) consecutive Thursdays. A Saturday field trip is also planned.

With this program, the City hopes to foster a strong sense of community and to teach citizens how to better understand the workings of local government. The sessions include presentations from City employees as well as equipment demonstrations. Participants learn about the wide variety of services provided by the City and about key areas such as planning, finance, traffic, and public safety.

The Citizens Government Academy is free and is available to all residents of the City of Franklin over 18 years of age. Class size is limited. If interested, please call (615) 550-6606 or e-mail moniquem@franklin-gov.com. Applications are available here or at City Hall.
