Beverly Burger was elected to her first term on the Board of Mayor and Aldermen in 2005 and currently serves on the Public Enterprise Advisory Committee, Public Safety Advisory Committee and Beer Board. She also served on the review committee for the Battlefield of Franklin Master Plan.
Burger owns and manages The Burger Group, LLC, a marketing research-strategic planning business. Much of her work has centered on Housing Market Analysis and Community Studies for government agencies including the US Navy and Coast Guard. She has previously worked in national corporate sales, been director of franchise sales, and is a former media advertising writer and account manager. Ohio native, Burger has lived in several states as well as abroad. While at Kent State University, where she majored in Journalism, she photographed the Kent State shootings and her photographs appear in numerous publications, documentaries and history books. Actively involved in community service, she was a director and a co-founder of crisis centers in KY and VA, served on numerous boards of directors, served on national, state and local political campaigns, held leadership positions in her children's school, and sports clubs, with expertise in fund raising, and grant writing. She is dedicated to representing and giving voice to residents in Ward I. She is committed to well managed growth; improved infrastructure; land use reform; historical preservation, sound economic development that supports new clean businesses and a responsible, fiscally sound government.
Presently she serves on the board of directors for Bridges (shelter for women), is VP of Newcomers of Williamson County, a member of Republican Women of Williamson County, Republic Party of Williamson County and a member of their Chairman’s Circle.
