The Franklin Police Department's Records Section is located at 109 Second Avenue South, in City Hall Mall. The Records Section maintains a computerized records database, validate daily activities from the patrolmen, and prepare and distribute daily activity reports to the Criminal Investigation Division. The Records Department continues to implement new technology in its processes and is currently archiving records from 1979. 

Mrs. Peggy McDougal and Cathye Hooper serve with Ms. Angela Hardemon in processing all incident reports, accident reports, citations, and alarm permits for the Franklin Police Department. Customer service provided by the Records Section include:

  • Accident reports - $15
  • Fingerprinting – City of Franklin residents only -  $20; maximum three (3) cards additional cards $20.00 Tuesday from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Alarm permits- residential $10; commercial $20; annual renewal fees is $5.  Notices will be mailed to remind you.
  • Background checks – City of Franklin residents only - $15
